Eligibility Conditions

Submit an oral request to the civil status officer.

Pay the applicable fee (cash or postal money order in the name of the municipal receiver, accompanied by a stamped envelope bearing the applicant’s address when the request is submitted in writing by mail).

  • Or provide an older death extract.

The record is delivered to the record holder, their direct ascendants or descendants, the guardian, the legal representative, or the spouse if there is no divorce.

Copies of records are delivered free of charge to the State Public Prosecutor and to authorized administrative institutions.
