Within the framework of the Urban Development and Local Governance Program, a new grant award system has been approved for municipalities. This system determines the method for calculating the grant amount based on a transparent, objective, and fair formula, conditional on performance evaluation and compliance with minimum requirements. To receive the total grant, municipalities are subject to an evaluation based on indicators using a number award system that covers three areas: improving services provided, participation and transparency, and improving resources.
Municipalities must obtain a score equal to or greater than 50 points out of a possible 100 in the performance evaluation conducted by the General Authority for Public Services Control to benefit from part or all of the assistance under the performance evaluation. The municipality must also meet the five minimum conditions required to qualify for the grant. It should be noted that a municipality that does not meet the five minimum conditions cannot receive the annual grant..
